Overview

This magnetorquer is designed to deliver reliable and efficient magnetic actuation for CubeSat and small satellite attitude control applications. With a nominal dipole moment of 0.3 Am², it provides effective torque authority for detumbling, momentum dumping, and fine attitude adjustments in low Earth orbit missions.

The unit features a precision-engineered coil with 8 layers of winding, optimized to achieve a strong magnetic moment while maintaining low power consumption and thermal stability. Operating at a nominal input voltage of 5 V, the magnetorquer is fully compatible with standard small satellite electrical power systems, enabling straightforward integration without additional power conditioning.

Its compact and lightweight design supports missions with strict size, weight, and power (SWaP) constraints. The device is suitable for both standalone use and integration within complete Attitude Determination and Control System (ADCS) architectures, including hybrid configurations with reaction wheels.

Built with reliability and repeatability in mind, this magnetorquer is ideal for a wide range of missions, from technology demonstration and academic CubeSats to commercial small satellite platforms. Customization options are available to meet specific mission requirements, including mechanical interfaces and electrical characteristics.
