Aluminized Kapton®, also known as PI or polyimide film, is suitable for use in internal MLI layers, as an outermost MLI layer, or as a single-layer Flexible Optical Solar Reflector (FOSR). Ideal for medium-to-long duration missions with an operating temperature range of -185°C to 260°C.

Conductive ITO coating is optional.
Qualification & Testing
This product meets NASA requirements for low thermal vacuum outgassing (ASTM E-595) where TML <1.0% and CVCM <0.1%.
